Spooky Card Tricks: Uncovering the Dark Secrets of The Oliver Estate
Join us as we investigate The Oliver Estate. You may have seen this location on a certain tv show where they fabricated the story of a "zombie boy," and the spirits do not sound happy about it. Also, the house had just had some restorations done, so the spirits were very uneasy about what was happening to their home, so our night was insanely active. What you are about to watch is only the first hour and a half of our night, that's right. This is going to be the first multi part video from a location. Even with it trimmed for viewing, the video has a lot that goes on, as will part two. For those who don't know about The Oliver Estate, here's some brief information;
Constructed in 1769, the Oliver House was once part of a substantial family estate in the town of Middleborough. Judge Peter Oliver built Oliver Hall for himself and the smaller “Oliver House” as a wedding gift to his son, Dr. Peter Oliver, and his bride-to-be. The larger home was burned during the American Revolution because the Oliver family members were loyal to the British Crown. Which was discovered because Benjamin Franklin had gone over to visit (he was friends with them), and one of the servants helped him find letters that were written back and forth between England and the Olivers. The smaller house (The Oliver Estate) remains standing to this day. When the Sproats owned the home one of their children was playing downstairs in the the dining room area and had pulled down a pot of boiling water that was freshly heated by a fireplace covering her head to toe in burns. She passed away shortly after due to the burns. And she is said to be one of the more active spirits.
Now, this home lies empty, but taken care of by some amazing people who keep the home in great shape and open it up to those who want to experience the home both historically and its ghostly residents.
