I remember the day like it was yesterday. I was out shopping as I came out of the store right in front of me on a bench sat a lady with a baby, maybe six months old, she held a sign up that said money for hotel please. My heart broke, I turned around went back in the store took my backpack off open my purse and gave her some money. I watched her as I stood at the corner waiting for the light to change so I could cross the street, I watched how many people passed her and didn't stop. My heart broke again. I went straight home and wrote this song, right away the words flowed and melody. I put a little reggae groove to it, just to keep from crying every time I sang it:)
