How aligner attachments are placed?
Aligners attachments are tooth coloured composite resin buttons, placed on teeth with the help of Aligners template trays to get complex movements like extrusion, intrusion, root torque, highly rotated teeth ,excessive curve of spee / deep bite cases and also used as anchorage purpose and tray retention. They are smaller in dimension and are of different shapes and placed on different locations on teeth according to indications & movement required. The attachment location, shape and positions are guided by Aligners brand or according to instructions given by an orthodontist. They have to be removed when job is done according to Aligners service provider.
There are two types of techniques of placement of composite attachments on the teeth.
1.Button technique
2.Elastic button technique
