There are a few quick ways to get the sum in Calc. Using the Select Function icon is an easy way, and this video also shows how to use the keyboard shortcut Alt and =
Some viewers have commented that the tutorial did not work for them. Calc tries to pick a range if one isn't selected, and it is not always good at guessing.
Therefore, I recommend trying to select your range (either a vertical range in a column, or horizontal range in a row), and then use the keyboard shortcut or Select Function icon.
