MGSV: TPP - E11 Speedrun: Cloaked in Silence No Traces World Record in 43 Seconds
It just works.
I stream sometimes: / stegdarkhorse
A No Traces speedrun of Episode 11: Cloaked in Silence in 43.04 seconds.
This trick was discovered by Solid Perry. If you call in a supply drop during free roam and then start the mission, you can bonk Quiet in the head with a supply box without breaking the No Traces bonus. For whatever reason the game doesn't have an issue with D-Horse running Quiet over, either.
Some time after Perry figured this out, WizardHWK would take the record down to a 43.850. I can only assume I barely edged that run out with a slightly faster exit.
Metal Gear Speed Runners (MGSR) is a great resource for learning how to speedrun or finding people who run any game in the Metal Gear series. If you want to get into speedrunning yourself, or want to find new people to watch, this is the place for you.
