The programming languages I talk about in the video are called "esoteric." These are a type of languages that are intentionally complex and obscure. These languages, popular among hackers and expert users, have no real real-world use but are generally designed to test the limits of programming, to demonstrate a theory, or simply for fun.
Malbolge is considered the most complex esoteric language. It was created by Ben Olmstead in 1998, based on Brainf**k, with the goal of being as difficult as possible to use. So complex that the author himself never wrote a single Malbolge program. The first working "Hello World" arrived a full two years after its release, thanks to a computational algorithm.
Malbolge was purposefully designed to be nearly impossible to use, due to its base-three arithmetic, an absurd ternary operator called the "crazy operator," and the fact that the code itself possesses self-modifying properties.
