Monkey Kiara Chasing a Fly
Here is Kiara chasing a fly. She didn't catch it, but I think she had fun trying. LOL

About Kiara:
Kiara is a Vervet (also known as a Green Monkey). She was born on 29 January 2019 in Texas. Her mommy got her at a very young age and has been raising her in a loving home along with Frankie (a Husky) and Merlee (a Great Dane).
She will get about 16" tall (body length) and will stand around 24" tall on her hind legs. Her weight will be around 8 pounds. She was 15 ounces when her mommy got her at 3 weeks of age. She was 2 pounds at 4 1/2 months old. Vervets are Old World Monkeys originally from South Africa. Importing primates into the U.S. has been banned since the mid 1970's, so all of the ones for sale here should have been born here.
As a baby, Kiara has been eating/drinking baby formula, Gerber rice cereal, and monkey biscuits (ground up and mixed in). She has been eating a cereal mix, along with her bottles, since she was 6 weeks old. Sometimes flavor is added to the cereal using a small teaspoon of flavored non-fat yogurt or Smuckers sugar free preserves. But at around 4 months of age, she has been doing well without any additional flavoring...thanks to the Orange flavored monkey biscuits her mommy found on Amazon!
At 3 months of age, she started eating some vegetables and fruits. The monkey biscuits are always incorporated into everything she eats to ensure she is getting all of the nutrients she needs to be a healthy monkey. They can be sprinkled on the fruits and vegetables quite easily after they are crushed. She still gets a bottle first thing in the morning and then again right before we go to bed at night.
At the time of this video some of her favorites things are hanging out with her mommy, her afternoon veggie tray, bedtime playtime, discovering treats in her playpen, and chasing Frankie through the kitchen and living room (or, maybe he's chasing her...lol). She also enjoys watching other monkey videos on Youtube, which we do quite frequently. Her favorite foods are blueberries, popcorn (no salt and no butter), cucumbers, pecans, and apples.
