There are over 525 million dogs in the world, although their exact number is, of course, impossible to calculate. Approximately 400 breeds have been developed to date.
According to statistics, in 2019, there were 22.6 million dogs in Russia. Experts believe this number is currently growing. Dogs continue to be popular pets, as they remain loyal companions and helpers to humans.
