Remember!
If you remember just one thing from the Bible remember this thing that Jesus Christ said: " It shall be done to you according to your faith!"
Not according to your religion, ethnicity, social position, title, etc.
Jesus said: "if you had faith as little as a mustard seed you could move mountains".
"With Faith you could pacify storms."
"You get your eye sight back according to your faith"
"You get healed of illnesses of the skin, fever, bleeding, paralysis, and even early days death."
If this is not enough to motivate you to understand more about faith I am not sure what will convince you.
It is true that Jesus before sending two by two his disciples in the world to spread his message he empowered them with the power of calling healing to whoever asked for this healing. So there may be some transference of power from the Son of Man to you.
But he also said in many if his miracles that they were performed as proof that Son of Man (possibly Daughter of Man, and even Child of Man) has the power to forgive sin, thus making whole, thus healing of illness.
