Big shoutout to my man Hut for the thumbnail (again): / @hut110
Some specifics on the Zelda minigame data:
I used this page: https://zelda.fandom.com/wiki/Mini-Game
I initially suspected the minigames in Breath of the Wild would skew the data, so I collected it both with and without BotW's minigames.
Without BotW:
78 total
17 shooting galleries, 10 races, and 13 built entirely around random chance
40/78 = 51.28%
With BotW:
94 total
19 shooting galleries, 13 races, and 15 built entirely around random chance
47/94 = 50%
The 50% was a much nicer number, so I decided to use it in the final script. BotW's minigame selection didn't have nearly as much of an impact as I expected. I think that might be a testament to just how forgettable most minigames that fall into these categories are to me.
Again, note that the wiki page was incomplete, and if I wasn't sure, I was typically biased in favor of counting a minigame towards one of these categories. It shouldn't have a significant impact on the data (maybe as low as 45% for more conservative evaluations), but it should be noted. Also, there are a few Zelda games I haven't played, and for their minigames, I took my best guess based off the description on the wiki. The data's a little messy for those reasons, but hey, I'm a gamer, not a scientist.
