How to use Wireless Modem as a Router + Wifi fix for D-Link 2730U and Android
In this video I'm gonna show you how you can utilize your modem as a router in case you need it.
For further clarification, read this-
1. By old modem, I mean the modem/Ethernet line through which internet is supplied.
2. By second/new modem, I mean the other modem which you want to use as router.
3. If you don't have multi-AP isolation option, don't worry, your WiFi will work just fine.
4. While giving your 2nd router IP address, make sure it is other than and ahead of the first modem/Ethernet line.
Like if 1st modem has IP- 192.168.0.1 , give 2nd modem anything ahead of it (change only after last dot, not before it) like 192.168.0.2 or 192.168.0.10 or anything else.
5. The method shown to fix WiFi on android only fixes the not connecting problem , when its stuck on obtaining IP address.
So, in a way these modem+router devices act as multipurpose devices. Just need to tweak them a little :)
