At the end of September, medical teams of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) were forced to stop outpatient treatment for malnourished children in the Zamzam displacement camp in North Darfur, Sudan, after months of supply blockade.
In practice, we are talking about 5,000 children, the majority with severe acute malnutrition, whose condition will deteriorate and who are inevitably at much higher risk of dying. OnlyMSF's 80-bed hospital keeps functioning in the camp to treat children in the most critical condition.
