Sydney feels lost and hurt after the events of the pool party. In the midst of her pain, she reflects on the comfort storytelling has brought her - until her laptop, and all of her stories in it - disappear. Meanwhile, Kyra is reminded of her own troubled past.
2026 UPDATE: Sadly I got a copyright claim on a song used in the first scene, from 3:31-6:03. The only way to resolve the claim was to replace it with a different song using YouTube's built-in editor. Unfortunately, YouTube did not do the best job at preserving the original sound quality in this section. So please bare with it for the few minutes it lasts ๐ I'm praying this never happens again because it was very frustrating. ๐ตโ๐ซ

A lot of people will ask: Oakstar, why did you take TWO WHOLE YEARS to make this?! Well, long story short: Turns out I am notoriously bad at adult life time management, and easily prone to burnout. Multiply all of these things together with an unusually long episode, and you get the dry wasteland that was my channel for two years.
What kept me working on this for as long as I did was all of you. Iโve had some of you tell me characters remind you of yourselves; that you relate to them. If I were to give up on telling this story - Iโm not just letting myself down, but everyone else too. If I were to give up on Copycat, thatโs one less story in the world to show someone theyโre not alone.

For the first time, I collaborated with multiple lpstubers to help bring some of my new characters to life, and I couldnโt be happier with the results. Sydney recoils in shock.

The movie continues.
Actress drinks the red wine, which we slowly zoom into to see the similarly red pool water that Michelle is drowning in.
Sydney looks away.
โWhat did you do?!โ
Actress spits her drink out and falls over. Husband stares.
Actressโs coughing glitches into Michelle spitting up water.
Sydney looks back to the TV.
Husband has a g*n.
โI didnโt want to do this love, but there was no other choice.โ
Sydney looks down at Fabianโs paws.
Husband sh*ots actress.
Fabian slowly reaches for Sydney. It glitches into a memory of Fabian shoving her against the wall.
Memory Sydney stares back in fear. She imagines Fabian raising a g*n in the pupil of her eyes.
Final glitch into the TV credits.
