okay. confession: I really, really wanted to vid this oc pairing so here we goooooo
(a rough) plot; Brussels 1812-1813, Napoleon is at the door. The final battle between the British and the French imminent. Many British families have gathered to the grand city, caught in this whirlwind of fear and excitement. Feelings ran high and young cavalry officer Alexander Cromwell (Jack Lowden) finds himself falling deeply for the young, wealthy and beautiful daughter of Lord Fairfax, Charlotte (Lou de Laage). Before one of the many battles in the outskirts of the city, he asks for her hand in marriage but he is promptly denied by Charlotte who has other ideas for herself in mind other than marriage. Her need to be independent and useful overpowering her feelings that are just starting to bloom. Alexander eventually falls wounded and Charlotte cares for him, slowly discovering the truth of her feelings towards him.
