Toyota Rav4 engine & transmission extraction Ep 17
Episode 17 in the Rav4 engine rebuild series. Finally its time to 'extract' the rest of the engine & drive train from the vehicle together with the front sub-frame too...
I have, to be honest, been putting this off for quite some time, hoping the task would just 'go away'! Unfortunately, it didn't and the best way forward, given the situation, was to just take the whole 'lump' out of the vehicle.
This engine has had a precarious past, maybe overheated, maybe run low on oil too, it needs a hone at least & there are a multitude of oil leaks to address...
I have to admit, this video, even after careful editing, isn't one of my best, nor professional, however, it still gives good insight into the task of such a removal & I can guarantee you a little entertainment too...
