This video is about the fascinating Porsche Cayman GT4 RS, which I'm testing extensively today. The sound of this car is simply unique and incomparable to any new 911. I've driven many Porsche models, from the Turbo and Turbo S to the GT3 and Sport Classic, but what this Cayman GT4 RS offers is unparalleled. The drive alone was so exhilarating that I almost had to call emergency services!
The Cayman GT4 RS is a car that makes customers want to hug their Porsche dealer. It's been called the loudest and one of the most impressive Porsches ever, and I wanted to find out if it really lives up to the hype and if it might even be a better investment than a 911 GT3. Today we're testing a 2023 GT4 RS with only 3,400 km on the clock, which we're offering for €185,000.
The Cayman GT4 RS is a car that makes customers want to hug their Porsche dealer. It's been described as the loudest and one of the most impressive Porsches ever made, and I wanted to find out if it really is that spectacular and if it might even be a better investment than a 911 GT3. The GT4 RS has the same engine as the GT3: a 4.0-liter six-cylinder producing 500 hp, just 10 hp less than the GT3. But could this car be even better in terms of investment and driving dynamics? The GT4 RS is currently still priced above its list price, while GT3 prices have dropped below it.
One particularly impressive feature of the GT4 RS is its air intake positioned directly behind the driver, resulting in an incredible sound experience. Reaching 120 decibels at full throttle, the sound is unparalleled. The interior is equally impressive, with an Alcantara steering wheel and a yellow 12 o'clock marker that instantly evokes a desire for a fast drive.
Compared to previous Cayman models, the third generation has significantly increased its appeal. The GT4 RS is a car that stirs emotions and is incredibly fun to drive. While the difference to a new 911 is undeniable, the GT4 RS possesses its own unique and inimitable charm.
On the Autobahn, the GT4 RS truly shone: perfectly tuned suspension, precise steering, and an unparalleled sound. The drive was a pure delight, with an overwhelming combination of sound and feel. The GT4 RS proved itself a car that can rival a GT3 in both performance and emotional experience.
In short, the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS is an exceptional vehicle, virtually unbeatable in terms of driving pleasure and emotion. It offers a unique driving experience, making it a must-have for any Porsche enthusiast. The combination of sound, performance, and handling is simply sensational, earning the GT4 RS a 10 out of 10 in my book. Hats off to Porsche for this masterpiece!
