Loch Lomond
This was a request from several of you.......enjoy.....
A long time favourite of many in Scotland....and often ruined in the delivery! I will try not to do so here.
It is of course a sad song based on the imminent death of a Jacobite soldier who will never see his loved one again...
He is talking to a fellow prisoner who will be released back to Scotland. Hence the 'high and low road'...one alive and one dead.
The words are:
