Hi everyone. It's Daimond here. When I first started my YouTube journey I faced a problem with checking tags on others' YouTubers' videos. It is obvious, that we all need to check these tags to see how others do it. Interesting fact is that years ago, YouTube showed all tags below videos, but unfortunately they hid this option. But don't worry, it's an easy process.
So, let's get to it!
So, at the beginning, I found out that I can see tags by clicking on the empty area next to the video I want to get tags from, and then choose (in case of Google Chrome Browser) "view page source". After clicking, I saw thousands of lines of text, so I needed to find a specific section containing tags. As you imagine, it was a horrible solution.
After I did more research in the subject, finally I found a better solution!
The solution works on Google Chrome browser, because I use Chrome on daily basis.
So what should you do? To get it work, you need to open your Google Chrome browser, click on the three dots on the top right corner, hover your mouse on "More tools". A new drop-down menu will open. Click on the option "Extensions". You will see your extensions if you have some. To Get new extension, you need to click on three horizontal lines on the top left corner and choose "Open Chrome Web Store". In the search box, enter the name of your extension you want to download. In this case, it'll be "Tags for YouTube". Then click the button "Add to Chrome" next to the extension. If you see a confirmation popup, choose "Add extension". If you do so, the extension will appear on the bar on the top right corner. From this moment it is enabled and works. To check how it works, go to some YouTube video.
Below the video, at the end of a description, click on "show more" text. And this is it! You see all tags which are used in the video.
