This was a fishing trip during my holiday visit to South Africa in July 2023. Winklespruit is one of my favourite beaches on the Kwazulu Natal Coastline.
I was hoping to see sardine netting but unfortunately there was no sardines around , however many anglers and holiday makers got in on the shad action . One lucky angler put out a live shad and got a nice Garrick .
