Post Punk meets Latin America!
xol blends the best of two worlds at the border of San Diego and Tijuana. One side rooted in the post-punk, new wave, and synthpop sounds of San Diego (The Smiths, Depeche Mode, The Cure), and the other infused with the danceable rhythms of Latin rock from Tijuana, including Salsa, Cumbia, Rock en Español, and Reggaetón (with influences from Maná, Caifanes, Soda Stereo, Los Prisioneros)
What should we call this genre? Rock en Español, Cumbia, Dark Wave, New Wave, Latin Rock, Alternative, Indie music?
