Welcome back to your go-to tech channel, the brainy potato. Today we will discuss where to find the monetization option on YouTube? Moreover, we will also discuss how to enable monetization option on YouTube step-by-step, hoping that you are aware about the YouTube Monetization Criteria.
After creating your YouTube channel, you need to enable some important settings. On the top-right corner of your screen, you will see your account icon. Click on it, and it will open a drop-down list. Next, you need to click on the YouTube Studio option. When the next page opens, you will see your channel on the left pane. Move down to locate and open the Settings icon. You will see the Settings window opening like this.
In General tab, make sure that the selected currency is USD- US Dollar.
Now, click on Channel from the left pane and it is the section where you can find and enable the monetization option. Here, you can make the suitable selections for the Basic info and Advanced Settings.
Thereafter, click on the Feature Eligibility. In this section, you will see three options - Standard Features, Intermediate Features, and Advanced Features.
Number one - Standard Feature
You will see that the Standard features are already Enabled. It allows users to upload videos, create playlists, Add collaborators to playlists, and Add new videos to existing playlists.
Number two - Intermediate Features
To access the intermediate features, you need to verify your mobile number. It will allow you to post videos longer that 15 minutes, create custom thumbnails and stream live in addition to all the standard features.
Click on Verify Phone Number. On the next screen, you can select your country, enter number and get code for enabling this feature. The next step on how to monetize YouTube channel is enabling the advanced features.
Number Three - Advanced Features
This is the section, where you can set up monetization on YouTube. In addition to it, you will get many other advantages by enabling the advanced features in YouTube. To enable it, make sure that the Intermediate feature is already enabled. Now, you can choose a verification method among video verification or uploading a valid ID. Now, follow the on-screen instructions to for enabling the YouTube studio monetization option.
