Over the years, Google Maps has become one of the best navigation apps in the world. You can plan road trips, source for better routes in traffic, or view virtually everywhere on earth within a few taps on your smartphone or computer.
However, there are some things you just can't expect to find while using or playing around with Google Maps, like secretly hidden places or perhaps finding a long-lost monster that can devour you in a heartbeat. That's why today, we bring you the list of ten mysterious deep-sea creatures spotted on Google earth. Number 1 will give you nightmares, so stay tuned for that!
Number 10.) Gigantic alligator
A mall in Dubai found an alligator and had him delivered to them from Australia. The alligator is one of the biggest of its species, reaching almost 5 meters in length and yes almost one thousand and 600 pounds. Let your imagination run wild and see for yourself how big that that really is. The alligator is expected to grow consistently for almost 50 years. But that is nothing compared to the alligator shadow which was found on google maps, also in Dubai.
The alligator was expected to be as big as two storey house as was measured to be 10 meters in length. People have said that this picture was photoshopped, but gigantic alligators have existed years back. Sarcosuchos roamed around the earth for centuries, millions of years back. There ruled the earth for a really long time, but that was about 145 years ago. There were so huge in size, and no one really challenged them. The bones of the alligator have been collected and showcased in museums with other ancient creatures. But they were wiped around from the face of the earth after some time. Could this be one of the species and what if more of them are inside the oceans? We might find out soon
Number 9.) Unknown creature in Antarctica
many people think they have discovered a creepy sea creature underwater in Antarctica thanks to an unexplainable green glow. Google Earth has mapped the world in a large 3D image, unearthing some of the world's most beautiful images. From natural sights to stunning architecture, it has opened up the planet to everyone. Sometimes it can also capture unexplainable images, be it alien enthusiasts discovering 'UFO landing sites' or creepy structures. Eagle-eyed users have spotted something rather creepy in the depths of the water in Antarctica.
When zooming into one of them, nothing appears out of the ordinary at first glance. Yet a closer inspection reveals a mysterious green glow as if from out of nowhere, raising questions as to what it could be. It measures 96 yards across and is 25 yards in length, meaning it is too large to be a normal animal. Many have stated it is an underwater creature hiding in the depths, with some suggesting it is the famous Kraken sea-monster. The most likely story is that it is a glitch with the cameras or simply the underwater currents. Others have suggested it could be lighted from a submarine or Navy ship, or even phytoplankton in the water. They light up when disturbed, offered a credible theory to the story. Yet Antarctica has been home to many bizarre images on Google Earth that have baffled online users.
Number 8.) Crabzilla.
Winter Quinton, the owner of the Weird Whitstable blog, posted a Google map screenshot of one of his followers that showed a shrimp-like creature measuring about fifty feet on the actual scale off the coast of Whitstable harbor in Britain. Is this possible? Whistable is a famous oyster palace. We've always known crabs to be fascinating creatures owing to their very many species, with some small and others very large, like the Japanese spider crab, which holds the gold medal of about 12 feet.
However, a crab such as the Winter's crabzilla, which is about three times the size of a double-decker bus, is quite unfathomable. That's why many marine biologists described it as a well-made put-on, or perhaps some sort of weird-looking shoal owing to the currents in the area. Well, whether it is a sandbank or a crab, something truly lies down there, and Google Maps has it. We can only hope that it is not a man-eating "crabzilla" as the source claims it to be, as that might scare our wits out.
