Stories about scary and mystical creatures have been going around for centuries, but unlike our ancestors, we are fortunate enough to have a phone in our pockets so we can record anything and everything. From creatures that were only talked about in myths until now to human-like goat, here are ten scary creatures caught on camera that'll give you nightmares!
Number 10. The Yeti
You were probably expecting us to start with The Big foot. Enough with the bigfoot; there are more than enough scarier creatures that just might be real, unlike the hairy legend. One of them is the Yeti. Once better known as the Abominable Snowman, the Yeti is a mysterious bipedal creature said to live in the mountains of Asia. It sometimes leaves tracks in the snow but is also said to dwell below the Himalayan snow line. Despite dozens of expeditions into the remote mountain regions of Russia, China, and Nepal, the existence of the Yeti remains unproven.
The Yeti is said to be muscular, covered with dark grayish or reddish-brown hair, and weigh between 200 and 400 lbs. Though this is the most common form, reported Yetis have come in a variety of shapes. Nepalese seem to have a firm belief in the existence of this creature. Furthermore, they say that they even have proof. Indian army tweeted to its nearly six million followers that it discovered mysterious footprints of the mythical beast 'Yeti' at the Makalu Base Camp in the Himalayas. Other people have also seen footprints, like the guy who, according to the National Geographic channel, searched for the creature for almost 60 years and found it.

Number 9. Alien-like creature in Antarctica
In a 50-day expedition in the Antarctica ocean earlier this year, a New Zealand vessel saddled with the responsibility of scanning the sea bed captured a lot of images during their journey.
One such photo is the image of an alien-like creature in Antarctica. The scientists on this expedition wanted to discover some of the mysteries below the water. During this expedition, they sent in their fishing nets to capture some of the strange animals underwater as far as 500 meters below the ice. After this creature was captured, scientists acknowledged that they had never seen such a thing before. This animal has not been officially named as we speak

Number 8. The Digger
Cemeteries are naturally creepy places. We always associate this place with death, so even a normal day spent there seems a little bit different from, let's say, spending a day at the mall. Add to that the different eyewitness accounts of various paranormal events experienced at cemeteries; it's no wonder why cemeteries give us the creeps. This first video isn't going to change our feelings about cemeteries any time soon. This video was taken by two teenage girls on break from work.
They decided to drive around to pass the time when they found themselves driving through a cemetery in Akron, Ohio. All of a sudden, they saw this black figure seemingly digging into one of the graves. They observed the thing for a bit before they decided to record it, and it's a good thing that they did. No one knows what this creature captured on the video is. Since it was first uploaded to a channel dedicated to sasquatches, word spread that this was a juvenile sasquatch digging for food. Number 7. Giant Squid
As the biggest unexplored part of the world, the ocean is a perfect place to capture mysterious sea monsters and creatures on camera! If you're an avid fictional reader, you may have come across a story or two narrating the epic taking down of ships by giant squids. While initially considered myths, it was only until the last century when giant squids were confirmed to be a real species living in the deep, vast ocean water.
The most recent sighting of a Giant Squid was filmed by Edith Widder, an oceanographer and Marine Biologist, the co-founder of Ocean Research and Conservation. The sighting was done in 2012, and they filmed the giant squid that was initially considered legends in the ancient world. It can grow up to 13 meters long!
