The last few days have been very heavy. Since I learned of the vicious and life threatening assault on this family - I’ve tapped on every resource possible to amplify their story.
We - as a community can not stand for this. So many of our ancestors traveled thousands of miles from their mother land in pursuit of the American dream. To finally one day be able to purchase a home in this great country. Who would of thought that the American dream will turn into an American nightmare - in which tenants refuse to pay rent for months and years while mocking your religion and being.
We can not let this slide any longer. In the last few years I’ve heard so many folks going through similar issues - and for the Sohal family the worst case scenario played out a few days ago when their tenants got extremely violent and their 19 year son was nearly chocked to death.
They are humbled by the support they’ve received over the last few days - and as we work to help uplift this family and lean into all our resources to fight for justice, please keep them in your prayers and show them some love in the comments.
