Fusion 360 uses parametric and non-parametric designs, but the sad truth is, although parametric modelling has been around forever, it is often not used properly, even in professional design organizations. This results in models which are basically un-modifiable - any change will cause errors and unexpected results. Fusion 360 makes use of a technique called Top-Down Design to make robust parametric models easier to handle - and in this simple example, split into short 5 minute videos, I show you how I might make a set of shelves which I could change to just about any height, width, depth - whatever - and the model will still rebuild - and all the parts will fit.
