Keyboard falls before the LAST chord...
As I was setting up for a show at the Grog Shop in Cleveland, OH (one of the best rock clubs in the state, fyi), I realized I had forgotten my own keyboard stand. No worries, though, 'cause the venue had an extra keyboard stand. The only problem was it didn't have a pin to lock it place. The sound guy, who was super helpful, searched about and found a drill bit to hold the stand in place.
Well, it worked for about ten minutes. I was performing the first piece of my set - a series of songs from the first chapter of StarTropics - when I hit the penultimate chord of the piece and the drill bit couldn't hold up. 😂 Yeah, the keyboard falls before the last chord... smh
