We are delighted to be gathering in again to share stories from Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We will be recognising the wisdom of old traditions and making some new ones as we wish farewell to the year that has been and welcome in new light, warmth and intentions for the year to come.
In the old times it was quite usual for people in Wales to set a spare place at the table for any unexpected guests, in this way we set a place for you-we invite you to eat and drink with us while you hear the stories. Please see the special menu we have prepared for you below!
Be sure to bring your favourite tipples (or whatever you fancy) as we raise a glass to things to come. Bring your wishes for us to share together and perhaps a short story or song...
In the 'third course' of the evening we invite you to tell a short 5-10 minute story if you would like. We are also offering short practice sessions with one of the professional storytellers to help you shape or practice your story- if this is helpful! Please email [email protected] for more details.
This event follows the hugely successful 'Gather In- Samhain stories from three Celtic Homelands' event this Celtic new year.

Kama Roberts (Wales)
Kama trained as an actor at the Royal Welsh College and Music and Drama and has since worked as an actor, director and workshop facilitator. She started telling stories just over three years ago. During this time she has been collecting stories from her native Radnorshire, and re developing them for performance. She has since told at festivals and private events and has been regularly commissioned to tell stories from the local area by local organisations- often telling outdoors within the landscape that her stories have come from. She also tells stories with a new company 'Emergency Turtle' which combines music, song, Shadow Puppetry and storytelling; the company was working towards it's first proper tour when Covid struck.
“Kama Roberts brings all the skills of her drama training and theatre experience into her storytelling and combines it with wit and rigour to make the stories of her native Radnorshire burst into life”- Michael Harvey, master storyteller
