"Gotta Work Hard" H2O @ Mitchell Middle School, Racine WI - Spring 2018
We had the great opportunity to pilot our H2O music & video program this year in the Racine Unified School District working with Mitchell Middle School. A new unfamiliar program was met with some skepticism and trepidation by the students, but we had 1 student, Makayla, who was really interested in what we had to offer and came religiously, sometimes on her own to make beats and work on a song with us. As things progressed she was able to encourage her friend Destin, to help her record a song she wrote working with H2O. Then we got a couple of her friends to get on camera and lend a support role. Next thing you know, we’ve got a hot music video! “Gotta Work Hard,” is a motivational song that is an impetus to get up and go achieve your life goals. Our leads were high energy and very professional throughout the process and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and commitment. Way to represent for Mitchell! Nice work : )
