Few things I have missed to describe in the video are given here
1- We know that cos(θ)=(e^iθ+e^(-iθ))/2 that is why you see the amplitude of sinusoidal reduced to half in the frequency domain.
2- We know that cos(α)cos(β)=1/2[cos(α-β)+cos(α+β)] and from the point no. 1, we see that we have half the amplitude when we plot the magnitude spectrum of sinusoidal that is we see 1/4 in the magnitude spectrum of product of sinusoidal that is (A_c*A_m)/4
3- y(t)=(1+m(t))*c(t)=c(t)+m(t)*c(t), so, we see that amplitude of c(t) will be (A_c)/2 and that of m(t)*c(t) will be (A_c*A_m)/4
4- Both N and F_s decide the frequency bin/tick in the frequency axis of the magnitude spectrum of the Fourier Transform. Ticks must be selected by F_s/N=GCD or HCD(f_1,f_2) or any factor of the GCD/HCF because in the lab task # 01, GCD = 4 for 8 & 12, so frequency deviation can be either 1 or 2 or 4 because all these numbers are the factors of both 8 & 12, so carefully choose this Point.
