Stay In The Light

As kings in God's kingdom, believers can reign and rule in the present through Christ. Knowledge of one's authority is key to exercising it. Pastor Mitch referenced several scriptures showing Jesus' victory over evil and restoration of this dominion to believers. Believers have been raised and seated with Christ in heavenly places.
Jesus taught that believers have authority over the devil and can cast him out in Jesus' name. Faith and belief are important for spiritual gifts like healing and deliverance to work.
In order to wield authority effectively, one must stay in the light by following Jesus. Yielding to darkness hinders authority, as it opens the door for Satan. Unforgiveness can also move one into darkness. Pastor Mitch emphasized abiding in love and light by following Christ through obedience to the Word and Spirit.
He concluded by offering salvation and baptism in the Holy Spirit to any who needed to receive Christ or be filled with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
