Cottagecore Corset Pattern Review 🌻 Simplicity 8162
Simplicity 8162 is a great pattern to use to sew a cottagecore corset! This video is a quick overview of my impressions of it, both good and not-so-good. I also used McCall's 8006, a pattern from 1982, to create the white peasant top I wore underneath and the skirt is a simple half-circle skirt made with a linen cotton blend fabric. The striped stays/corset fabric was provided by Minerva in exchange for a blog post 💘 I really enjoyed making the stays more than I expected to! It was a bit tedious when sewing the bias binding and trimming the zip ties to size, but overall so worth it! I can see myself making a corset for Halloween! I think next time I will make the chemise that comes with this pattern. P.S. Having a hole punch meant for leather and fabric helps SO much when making holes for your grommets or eyelets!
