Notify the probate court!!!
Did you know that when a loved one passes you can notify the county probate court (the county where the deceased person lived) to let them know that you're an heir and should be included in the court process? This can help make sure no one gets appointed as Personal Representative, secures the assets, and leaves you out. The court should not let them proceed without including you.
