In this video, I turned an old PC into a fully working Linux machine using only an Android phone and a USB drive — no second computer required. I downloaded Puppy Linux, created a bootable USB directly from Android, entered the BIOS/Boot Menu, and successfully booted Puppy Linux on my PC.
I also explored persistence/save sessions, RAM-based performance, bootloader setup, partitions, and fixing common boot problems during installation.
Full Process Covered
• Downloading the Puppy Linux ISO on Android
• Creating a bootable pendrive from phone
• BIOS & Boot Menu setup (F2 / F12 / ESC / DEL)
• Booting Linux from USB
• Understanding set root=, vmlinuz, and boot configs
• Fixing freezes and boot errors
• Running a lightweight OS completely from USB
Commands & Boot Entries Used
Bash -
set root=(hd0,1)
linux /vmlinuz pmedia=usbflash
initrd /initrd.gz
boot
