Mechanism:
A mechanism is an assembly of rigid bodies connected in a way that allows them to move relative to each other in a predetermined fashion. The primary purpose of a mechanism is to transfer or transform motion and forces. Mechanisms are the building blocks of machines, designed to accomplish a specific task by converting input motion and forces into a desired set of output motion and forces. Examples include the crank and slider mechanism in an engine, which converts rotational motion into linear motion, and the gear train, which transfers motion and torque between shafts.

Machine:
A machine is a device that consists of one or more mechanisms arranged to transmit motion and forces in a predetermined manner to perform a specific task. Machines are designed to apply the principles of mechanics and energy to perform work, ranging from simple tasks like lifting or cutting, to more complex operations like computing or printing. Unlike a mechanism that focuses solely on motion transformation, a machine is concerned with accomplishing a particular task, often involving energy conversion. Examples of machines include engines, which convert chemical energy into mechanical work, and bicycles, which amplify human power to increase mobility.

Structure:
A structure is an assembly of components designed to support loads without undergoing any significant changes in shape or motion. Unlike mechanisms and machines, the primary function of a structure is to bear loads and provide stability and support, rather than to perform work or transmit motion. Structures are designed to resist forces and moments while maintaining their integrity and shape. Examples include buildings, bridges, and frameworks that provide the necessary support and stability for machines or serve as integral components of larger mechanical systems.

In summary, while mechanisms are concerned with the transfer and transformation of motion, machines use mechanisms to perform specific tasks often involving energy conversion, and structures are designed to support loads and provide stability without significant motion.
