Updating Boss GT 100 - Patch 1.40 to 2 .12 version on Windows 11 Tutorial Walkthrough
2.12 version is the latest update so far. download all necessary files on Boss site. enjoy

Check the current version 00:16
Check the current version: Hold down the [EFFECT] and [SYSTEM] buttons while turning the POWER on. The left display will show the current version number. Turn the unit off afterwards.
Download files 00:51
Download files: Go to the official BOSS support website for the GT-100, download the latest system program (Ver. 2.12 as of this time) and the correct driver for your computer's operating system.
Extract files 01:24
Extract files: Unzip the downloaded archive file. You will get two update files named "ROMINFO.TXT" and "GT100ROM.BIN". Do not rename them.
Do not connect yet: Ensure the GT-100 is not connected to your computer and the OUTPUT LEVEL knob is set to minimum.
Enter Updater Mode 02:00
Enter Updater Mode: Hold down the [SYSTEM] button and turn the POWER on. The display should show "GT-100 Updater".
Connect via USB 02:12
Connect via USB: Connect your computer to the GT-100's USB port with a USB cable. The display will change to "USB Connected".
Transfer files 02:41
Transfer files: On your computer, the GT-100will appear as a removable disk (e.g., "BOSS_GT-100"). Drag and drop the extracted "ROMINFO.TXT" and "GT100ROM.BIN" files into this drive. Do not copy the entire folder.
Safely eject 03:12
Safely eject: After the file transfer is complete, safely eject the "BOSS_GT-100" drive from your computer (right-click and "Eject" on Windows, drag to Trash on Mac).
Start update 03:32
Start update: Disconnect the USB cable. The GT-100 display will show "Push [WRITE] to start". Press the [WRITE] button to begin the update.
Completion 04:20
Completion: The message "Completed." will appear when finished. Turn the GT-100 power off.
Verify updates 04:32
Verify: Turn the power on again while holding down the [EFFECT] and [SYSTEM] buttons to confirm the new version number (e.g., "Ver. 2.12") is displayed.
