How to reset the error message and the counter of the drum and transfer belt Brother HL-3140 HL-3140 HL 3150 HL-3170 DR-241 BU220CL.
When the “replace drum message” or transfer belt error message appears, the instructions of this video allow you to reset the counter back to zero.
You will need to replace the drum unit or the transfer unit when it can no longer produce a quality printed page.
Resetting the drum unit and the transfer belt do not improve print quality. It only resets the counter and allows you to continue to print, so you decide when to replace the units.
- Press Up arrow key while holding down Go on the machine's control panel.
- Press Up or Down arrow key to choose Drum Unit or Transfer Belt.
- Press OK.
- If you want to reset the drum, press Up or Down arrow key to display the color of the drum unit that you want to reset.
- Press OK.
- Press Up arrow key for Reset to reset the counter.
- The display will show “Accepted”
