Yes you read that correctly a recent law change now forces homeowners to pay a portion of the repair cost if they sue the builder according to attorneys for buyers.
This explains why we have seen an explosion of new builder homeowners complaining on social media and local news channels .
There is no end in sight as owners are at the mercy of the builders. The attorney’s fees can no longer be included in the judgment award only the repair cost. For example if the repairs are 1 million dollars the owners still have to pay the attorney fees out of that.
