1 Introduction to DMPonline - 1. 1. What is DMPonline, creation of account & basic terminology
This is introduction to DMPonline for administrators.

00:00 Hello everyone and welcome to DMPonline tutorial videos on setting up DMPonline. My name is Magdalena and I am customer development manager for DMPonline.
00:10 In a case you do not know what DMPonline is - DMPonline is the Digital Curation Centre’s data management planning tool. It provides tailored guidance and example answers to help researchers develop data management plans. The tool can be customised so you can add your own templates and guidance.
00:29 In order to customise the tool, you need to have administrator privileges for your institution.
00:35 These videos are aimed for the administrators - where I will walk you through setting up DMPonline, creating guidance, templates, customising funder templates, review usage, themes and we will be covering special features in the later videos.
00:51 Today I will start the series with the introduction videos.
00:55 The first one is on how to create an account and I will show you what the admin interface looks like.
01:02 First, let’s create an account. So here you go to dmponline.dcc.ac.uk and if you do not have an account you will click here - create an account and fill this with your details.
01:19 If your institution is not listed, you can just the type the name of your organisation here and we will add it to the list - or feel free to email us directly to [email protected] & we will do that for you.
01:38 I already have my account so I will just log in in here and now I have been now moved to the admin interface.
01:48 The admin interface differentiates from the user interface by the fact that you will be able to see this admin tab in here with access to different things. And in this video I will just explain to you what these really stand for.
02:09 So once you click on plans in here this will provides access to all institutional Data Management Plans. You can view individual plans and download metadata on them all.
02:24 Than you have the templates in here and this one allows you to create your own templates and customise funder templates. I have not created any yet so this is empty but we will do that in the later videos
02:38 In guidance - this one allows you to create themed guidance to apply across all templates in the tool again you can see this is empty for me but we will be changing this in the alter videos as well
02:52 Organisational details allows you to edit your profile by adding logos and links, and enable the DMP feedback and review option
03:03 Users - allows you to see details for all users in your organisation
03:11 And the last one usage provides statistics on the number of users and plans created per month by users in your organisation
