In this video I talk about key terms in people that took part in the Russian Revolution. I talk about the Romanovs. I give an outline of pre-revolutionary Russia. How Russia was the only true theocracy left in Europe, how there was no type of political institutions and how Russia was defeated by the Japanese.
I also talk about Vladmir Lenin and how he had gravitated towards the Social Democratic Workers' Party of George Plekhanov.
I talk about the Russian Revolution of 1905 and Bloody Sunday. I also talk about the Duma and how it was harassed and how thus numerous soviets began to reappear. I talk about how WWI was the straw the camel's back and the camel in this expression is the Russian government. I talk about Russia's major losses in the war and corrupt military leadership in the war.
Then I talk about Alexandra (Nicholas II wife), Rasputin and Alexis. I talk about the provisional government and The March Revolution (March 12) and The November Revolution (November 6). I talk about the Menshevik and their leader Alexander Kerensky. I also talk about The Petrograd Soviet, Bolsheviks their role and Lenin's involvement by means of Germany.
