Plague doctors, microscopes and syphilis! It’s Renaissance Medicine. This video covers the period called the Medical Renaissance in England c1500 – c1700 by the Edexcel exam board. Though it’s useful for all students of history as well anyone with a thirst for knowledge. This is the second episode in a series of five. The next one, on 18th and 19th century medicine, will be out soon. ish. I hope.
