Add A Menu Of Games With Recurring Events
Posting events just got a little easier with Game Roster’s new recurring events feature, which lets clans automatically create new games for the community each week. Recurring events automatically post to your Discord server, mobile app, and clan page so members can simply view and click the events they want to join.
Recurring events let you add a broader menu of games for the community to play so members can join the games they like that are active. You can post an unlimited number of events to help you organize practices, raids, scrimmages, streams, weekly competitions, and community events. Recurring events also boosts your clan activity level and promotes the community.
How Does It Work?
Your clan founder can add a recurring event on the Edit Clan page in the recurring events tab. Select the day of the week and how many weeks of events you want to display. Once you select “Create” a new event will be automatically generated on the days that you selected and will continue to post every week until you remove the events with the “Remove” button. Events will show in your Discord, mobile app, and clan webpage.
Can I Add Multiple Games?
Yes. You can have an unlimited number of recurring events concurrently. For example, you can set up one for Fortnite for Tuesdays, one for PUBG for Tuesdays, and one for COD on Wednesdays. In this scenario, you will have three events post automatically each week – two on Tuesday and one on Wednesday.
Does The Founder Have To Participate?
Recurring events have no host when they are created, which means there is no obligation or downside to posting them. The founder does not have to participate but can choose to do so by selecting “Automatically Add Founder To All Events” when they create the event.
How Do I Edit Recurring Events?
You cannot edit recurring events but can remove an existing event and create a new event with the new details. When you remove a recurring event, you are stopping new posts but all the existing events will remain unchanged. The clan founder can cancel an existing event by selecting Cancel on the event’s game roster page.
How Do I Add This To Discord?
You will need to configure the Game Roster Discord bot (see our FAQ for instructions). We recommend setting up a channel in Discord just for Game Roster events. Once you have the bot active, all recurring events will show up in the channel that you configured during the setup.
