Rosemarie Tougas a débuté le piano à l’âge de six ans. Elle a commencé l’orgue en 2013, après son premier contact avec l’instrument en accompagnant la chorale paroissiale. Elle a ensuite étudié l’orgue avec François Zeitouni à l’école de musique Vincent-d’Indy et a obtenu son diplôme d’études collégiales en 2017. Rosemarie complète actuellement un D.E.S.S. à l’École de musique Schulich de l’Université McGill dans la classe du professeur Hans-Ola Ericsson. Elle est la récipiendaire du Prix John Grew en 2018 et de la bourse Phyllis et Bernard Shapiro, du W. Douglas Clarke Memorial Award en 2019, ainsi que du prix d’excellence étudiante en 2020.
Rosemarie Tougas started her musical studies on the piano at age 6. She began playing organ in 2013, after her first contact with the instrument at church to accompagny the parish choir. She later studied organ with François Zeitouni at École de musique Vincent-d’Indy and obtained her Diploma of Collegiate Studies in 2017. Rosemarie is currently a graduate diploma student at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in the class of Hans-Ola Ericsson. She is the recipient of the 2018 John Grew Award, the 2019 Phyllis and Bernard Shapiro Scholarship in Instrumental Performance, the 2019 W. Douglas Clarke Memorial Award, and the 2020 Student Excellence Award.
