A tour through Anglia on the old trading route connecting the cities of Kappeln and Flensburg. This video shows the part between Sandbek and Husby.

Apologies for the dynamic range and the shaking, I only had my smartphone to hand to make this.

The little strips of woodland between fields are called "Knicks". They were created to stop cattle from entering crop fields 200 years ago, but recently are more important as a home for 7000 different species, most of which wouldn't survive without forest-substitutions like Knicks in large parts of northern Germany and southern Denmark. Further, they slow down wind erosion and lead to a more moist air, helping plant growth especially in sandy areas.
