This is my Otamatone (Deluxe) cover of FFVII's Battle Theme, Let the Battles Begin / Fighting / Those Who Fight... wow so many names!
Yes, my Otamatones are sort of dressed up as Cloud, Tifa, and Barret. Yeah... someday, I'll explore the magical wonders of cosplaying. FOR THE CHILDREN x)
This is honestly my most challenging cover yet, everything about this tune is sooooo intense! The motifs were constantly intertwining between different sections of the orchestra in the original track, and despite primarily focusing on Otamatones, I wanted to capture that same complexity and drive that makes this Battle Theme so memorable and special.
The instrumentation itself was super dense, which presented many challenges. But I wanted to cover every musical part that existed in this theme. So uh, remind me to never be an overachiever ever again.
That being said -- please feel free to share this video around. I want the world to see that I've taken this Otamatone-playing mastery to the next level ;^)
[And yes -- I'll most likely cover the FFVII Victory Fanfare someday]
[Never play three Otamatones at once, by the way... it's bad luck]
