Minecraft GLIDER/SOARING-Simulator with realistic Cloud Thermals and working Variometer!
Enjoy the pleasure of soaring in your glider plane also in Minecraft! My new datapack provides realistic cloud thermals with a working variometer.
While flying with your Elytra clouds are generated inside your world (hold the sunflower in your hand, to generate new clouds in a new area of your world). According to the clouds size and color different thermal lifts are provided, that allow you to gain altitude. But be careful, between the clouds the air might be falling very fast!
Additionally your variometer will tell you your vertical speed by a typical sound know from real gliders and by a colored item in your hotbar. If you press Tab you will also see your vertical speed next to your name.
A new feature which was not shown in the video are the airbrakes. In your hotbar there is now a weak and a strong airbrake setting which allows you to optimize your landing approach.
The datapack can also be used in multiplayer and should work fine there. But for the variometer to work the players must keep a distance of about 50 blocks to each other.
