we are a becoming (poem and pixilation)
this is another project for my time class!!! it's a live stop motion (also called pixilation) so it looks choppy- i swear it's not lagging!!!
this is a really abstract video, something i really haven't done before but enjoyed!
the theme of this piece is how as humans we are constantly changing every day and how awesome that is! the video is very fluid and shows different versions of evolution through appearance, dance, and painting.

are we what is becoming?
as humans, can we change infinitely and continue on?
these questions that sit on the tips of tongues and spit out when we feel lost.
and these are the answers we seem to be searching for.
we have to always start anew,
but the kind that grips you and weaves together a story,
one that you will carry the weight of-
no matter how much you have changed
there are pieces inside of you that stay nestled into corners.
it is amazing how as humans we are ever-changing.
we are all different from each other and our past selves
and that’s what makes life so lovely to live.
we can start over.
the way someone has wanted to express themselves their whole life
could change in a moment,
and that moment could be even more important than
all the ones before.
sometimes, learning truths about yourself
is opening doors to new possibilities
in the most cliche way of phrasing.
and sometimes, that’s what you need.
i adore the chances i get to become a better version of yesterday,
to know i have endless options for how i spend my time or want to look.
the identities we carry can always be shaped
over and over again.
we are never static.
staying in one place was never how we were built and that is beautiful.
dancing and living and being
is the raw human experience we should all be given.
the chance to be fluid in so many ways is how we can always love everything
because everything is worth loving in some form or another.
it is wonderful that we as humans can form different expressions of love
even if they all stem from the same heart.
this is what the stars have told me when i have asked, and this is what they always end with:
“becoming is what we are.”
