In this video, we'll dive into the simple process of exporting and importing items to/from the Webflow CMS using CSV files.
Why is this useful?
*Data migration*: Transferring content between different platforms or versions of Webflow.
*Bulk updates*: Updating multiple entries simultaneously instead of manually editing each item.
*Automation*: Streamline your workflow by avoiding manual data entry and reducing human error.
Exporting content
1. Navigate to the desired CMS Item Collection in Webflow.
2. Click "Export" – done! You'll receive a CSV file containing all items in that collection.
Importing content
1. Access the import function by clicking "Import" next to the export button.
2. Drag and drop your CSV file into the designated area.
3. Confirm if the first row is a header, as most CSV files have this.
4. Map each column in your CSV to existing or new fields in Webflow CMS.
5. Review the preview of imported data to ensure accuracy.
6. Click "Import" and follow prompts to create backups if desired.
7. Within seconds, your content will be live in the CMS!
