OES11 SP 1 eDirectory Install - How to
This video will cover installing OES 11 SP1 eDirectory into an existing tree.
When installing eDirectory
have a static IP address assigned to the server
Disable IPV6 and the Assign Hostname to Loopback IP
Know which container in the tree the server object will reside
Do an eDirectory Health Check before installing
Extend Schema
During the install when asked for an existing eDirectory server use the IP Address of a server with a replica of the partition where the server object will be created
If Schema was not extended prior to the install, the existing eDirectory server should also have a replica of root.
