Is Rennsport.GG and the ESL R1 THE Game changer for Sim Racing?
The IEM Katowice marked a massive step for Sim Racing E-Sports: A dozen of the finest organizations came together for two days of competition using the @RENNSPORT_gg platform for the first time ever – and it was a memorable debut alongside other established Esports disciplines.
Great racing, a professional broadcast by @RaceSpotTV and some of the best Sim Racers in the world made for a must-see event, as Alex Goldschmidt and Yannik Haustein underline in our @esl_r1 R1 recap.
With the competition taking off at virtual Spa-Francorchamps, it was Germany's @MaxBenecke for @mousesports who took the very first win in an ESL R1 final, beating the @RomainGrosjean8 Esports Team duo of Jiri Toman and Marcell Csincsik.
On Sunday, the Hockenheimring was the center of attention, as Joshua Rogers of @Porsche @CoandaEsports took to the top step of the podium followed by Mouz’s @MoritzLoehner and Csincsik.

What is sim racing?
Sim racing is a type of motorsport simulation that allows participants to race virtual vehicles using computer software and hardware.
How I can participate in Sim racing?
A computer with sufficient hardware specifications to run the simulation software.
A steering wheel, pedals or controller to piulot the virtual vehicle.
Chose between any software such as iRacing, Assetto Corsa, rFactor, etc.
An internet connection to participate in online races and events.
Racing seats or cockpits will get you a more immersive experience.
Stable and fast internet connection for online races.
Once you have all the necessary equipment, you can start racing by joining online communities and events, or setting up your own races with friends.
