Makeup Artists: All about Assisting
If you're a makeup artist looking to work in advertising, editorial or even with large wedding parties, becoming a makeup artist's assistant is a great way to learn on the job. You'll not only learn lots of makeup tips and about the latest makeup products, but you'll also learn about on-set etiquette, and how things really work on the big jobs.
I often refer to assisting as the "golden opportunity" which is sadly, too often skipped over by makeup artists looking to get ahead.
